Almost right - The Vsoupwin program will pass credentials in an SMTP AUTH session however it does not support SSL. PH> I'm just playing around with it trying to see if I can get the email gatewa PH> aspect of soupgatw and vsoup to work. Routing a message via SMTP does not require any authentication at all - Internet SMTP servers are designed to operate on port 25. But the Vsoupwin program is designed to route as if it were an email -client-. Vsoupwin does not directly route email to a recipient. Pretend that Vsoupwin is like Outlook Express for example. So... you will need either an SMTP relay service that does not require SSL, or you run your own relay with something such as Hmailserver. You would also need the ability to route messages on port 25, so, it helps if you have both a static IP and unrestricted port access through your ISP. You will find everything is a LOT easier to do if you can run your own relay and do everything yourself.
