Oh, just the name would have been sufficient - you're well-known here
(or from alt.music.filk).  I can't speak for everyone, but I was certainly
wondering because from your messages you seemed to be someone I should
have heard of but I had no idea who.

It's not a matter of wanting to know your 'rep', but just being confused
by the handle (especially in case you were someone who had changed email
addresses)...
