Hello All!
You might remember me, I'm the 17-year old Pink Floyd fan.
I've been following the discussions for two months now, deleting most of it
because I just don't understand what you're talking about. There's so many
messages here! And I only know a few groups you name in your messages (Pink
Floyd, Marillion and Alan Parsons Project). I also see you have collections
of over 2.000 records. I have a mere 20.
Above all, I didn't know what Progrock was. A few weeks ago, there was a
message of the moderator explaining it mostly. So far theory. And then, a few
days ago, I heard ELP's 'trilogy'. I liked it, but nothing more. There just
wasn't that shock you get when you listen to music and say: 'Yes, this is IT,
this is the final Answer, the answer to Life, the Universe & Everything !'
(sorry 'bout that Douglas Adams part, I couldn't resist it)
So I guess I don't really belong here. Unless you guys can point me out a
REALLY GOOD Progrock album, that can help me to learn to appreciate it, I
think I'm going to leave this Echo. I know it takes a lot of time to make
messages go from Belgium to America and back, so I'll wait two weeks. After
that, I'll disconnect, because I really don't understand what you guys are
talking about.
Met vriendelijke groeten, --- Greetings from Antwerp, Belgium
Steven
PS. Oh yeah, what's so great in collecting Vinyls ? I thought we had entered
a new era of digital music, and now everyone wants analog !
