The OP did not state what version PI he is planning to use or test this
with. Therefore I suggested two different versions of a PoE Splitter.
I agree with you, once I would test such a setup I would likely spend
the extra money and get a splitter that can pass through all pairs for
G-BIT. Since the R-PI PoE HAT module is questionable ATM AND these
splitters are priced lower than the HAT module - likely going to be my
preferred choice.
