That is a good place to look. Another place to look is in the
STATISTICS echo (echotag STATS). People publish statistics of
echomail traffic there. Good time to look is just after the first
of the month when you can see listings of monthly stats from some
BBSes (including some not in zone 1 that are especially valuable).
