The Windows Scheduler works well, the only problem is if you need to
take your BBS down during maintenance, there is not an easy way of
doing that if the EleBBS telnet server is running.

Using a modified version of Eleserv that spawns a batch file rather
then elebbs.exe directly would be one solution (Zomorf modifed one),
or you could use a different telnet server like the Mannsoft Telsrv, or
GameSrv, you could even use the WWIV32 telnet server.

By using a batch file to spawn EleBBS, it could check for an event
errorlevel telling nodes to stay down until a semephore flag is no
longer present.

The ideal solution would be if EleServe not only spawned a batch
file, but it also had a way in which it could either be told to shut itself
down by another program or it would refuse to spawn nodes if a
certain semephore exists (and it could display a text file to any
connections instead).

Regards, Mike
