* Michael Tauson Said to, Jack Sargeant something like:
JS> > GJO> On the other hand, as the CAUS case against the NSA
emonstrated,
JS> > GJO> U.F.O material is off limits.
JS> > Does anyone have the exact wording of the NSA's response to this?
JS> The oldie but still goodie is, "There is no evidence that UFOs are a
JS> threat to national security." (paraphrased) I think this came out in
JS> the 1960s sometime. ...Or maybe at the close of Project Bluebook.
JS> At any rate, it's about the closest the government has come to
JS> admitting the existance of UFOs.
Its a paradoxical stand by the NSA, as after the judge viewed the affidavit,
he dismissed the case by stating,
'the in-camera affidavit present factual considerations which aided
the court in determining that the public interests in disclosure is far
outweighed by the sensitive nature of the materials and the obvious effect on
national security their release may well entail.'
The documents were not released. When I get the time, I will post the
question section by CAUS to the NSA in the court room.
