Hi David,
I discovered a couple more Java tidbytes for Ya. The book titled
"Learn Java Now" from Microsoft Press includes a full copy of Visual
J++ 1.0, making it @ $40, the most cost effective Java starter kit.
I just noticed the 1st book on J++ 1.1, it is named Visual J++ Java
Programming/(New Riders Publishing) by Jim Flynn & Bill Clark w/CD-ROM.
There is a review of Watcom/Powersoft's new Jato compiler (due out in
May) in the April, 1997 issue of Windows Sources magazine.
I also found a Java Tutorial on CD-ROM:
" Java Programming and Core Class Libraries focuses on the powerful
pre-written classes included in the Java Developer Kit (JDK). Learn
to build GUIs with the Java Abstract Window Toolkit (AWT) and create
windows, menus, and buttons to add interest to your Web pages. $50 "
From MindQ Publishing, Inc. at (800) 646 - 3008
Enjoy,
den
