I remember back in the early 90s there was a news report that when
Weird Al covered Nirvana with his "Sounds Like Nirvana" song (a parody
of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"), Kurt Cobain evidently called
his other band members and told them that they'd hit the big time
because they'd been parodied by Weird Al. ;)
