I'd say there's a better chance for an FTP server in space than a BBS.

Unfortunately, none of the common Telnet clients support the Kermit file
transfer protocol well (and most don't support it at all), so I don't really
see it "catching on" in the BBS scene. I think it's great that
some people use
it and love it, but this "Kermit Evangelism" I've seen from time to time is
kinda weird.
