JM :>No, I haven't been hit with an ad for it yet. ;-) Let me
JM :>know, although I think I've finally reached some sort of
JM :>maximum for horse magazines -- just can't keep up any more.
Well, I got the first issue...it was OK...same format as Mike Plumb's...no
ads. One article on sacking out which presumed you knew prior
information...didn't like that. One on fly sprays that didn't include a
number of sprays we have around here. One on his blind horse. One on
spooking. Few references to his religious beliefs which was kind of
annoying. Cancelled the sub. Not enough new stuff to warrant another
subscription.
JM :>No, I can't sew worth beans -- it's something I wish I
JM :>could do, because it's hard for me to find stuff that fits,
JM :>and if I could do my own stuff, life would be a lot easier.
JM :>More on this in netmail, since it's not really on-topic.
Got it and will respond as times allows. BTW...you're a lot more
knowledgeable than I'll ever be about it (g)!
JM :>Of course, the real problem with doing riding clothes is
JM :>getting the right kind of fabrics, especially for breeches.
JM :>But if you aren't doing show clothes, it's probably not so
JM :>bad.
Well, since I don't even own a sewing machine any more.....
JM :>say "the judges gave a ribbon to THAT?". You know how it
JM :>goes.
All too well!
JM :>Maybe Fiddle was lonely without other horses in her 'herd'
JM :>and needed the company. Makes sense to me, but of course
JM :>there's no predicting these things in advance. Keep us
JM :>posted on how they get along.
You're absolutely right. They're getting along fine. Fiddle has learned to
keep her distance, but they are becoming attached to one another. Fiddle's
calmer and happier than I've seen her in a long time.
