I don't think Schatze would be amenable to that either.

AS is Schatze, typical Rottie.  I was sitting here reading mail from fido
and bellsouth while eating a couple of fried egg sandwiches.  ON whole
wheat of course . Schatze has learned that when daddy eats in the
office to stay back, lie on the floor and watch, then she'll get a bite.

OUr last Rott as you know ate anything and everything she could get that
was in any way edible thanks to her life on the streets before we took her
in. wHen we were still motel living after Katrina and working on the house
to make it habitable we stopped at a take out fried chicken joint, got a
box of legs and thighs.  DIvided evenly between wife and I there was still
one left over, as it turns out a drumstick.

I was sitting at the little table by the window, wife sitting on bed.  I
went to hand her leftover drumstick to peel from bone for Roxy. roxy
reached up, snatched it, big end first, right down her throat.  i swear
that piece of chicken never touched teeth.

Schatze used to get along with neighbor cat fine, until one day he came in
and started eating her food. THat was in the old place, neighbors next to
us in this duplex keep their cat inside. WHen she does get out she sees
Schatze and immediately runs.
