Sherri,
Welcome to the land of Desktop Publishing! Tom Ryan made some excellent
suggestions concerning MS-WORD. In addition to using it as a DTP, WORD
can allow for Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) which allows you to bring
in EXCEL graphs and spreadsheet sections to reinforce or embellish a point.
Additionally, .BMP as well as other graphic file formats can be used. You
may also do some very creative and professional drawing within WORD
as well as using Microsoft WordArt 2.0 which allows you to do some out-
standing things with text.
A new printer is always an esteem builder, because it helps your creations
look their very best. Some of the HP Deskjet printers are a solid step up
and they won't kill the budget in the process.
In addition to Tom's very solid recommendations, try out Microsoft Publisher
2.0 as well. You'll enjoy it. Not too pricey, either. It's around $100+-
in most shops. Best of luck!
Cordially
