Antichrist might not be pretending, but rather believing himself
to be actually bringing peace and safety to mankind.  Will the
Antichrist recognize himself as being the Antichrist when he comes
to power?  Did Judas Iscariot recognize himself as betraying Christ?
AFAIK, only after he betrayed Christ did Judas realize what he did.
