Alice Cooper's father was a preacher.
Don McLean's "American Pie" is a religious song about Revelation.
Peter, Paul, and Mary's "Light One Candle" is another one.
Many others come to mind.  But Alice Cooper's "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
remains one of my favorites...
