Yep, as I said, just wanting to play.  Schatze knows she can't play rough
with mommy but can with me.

Yep, the raised voice ocnnotes excitement, calm assertive gets it done.

My two daughters figured it out when they were quite young.  DAd would be a
fun guy, but when dad raised the voice stuff was definitely gonna hit the
proverbial fan .

THere's a true leadership sign.  I've said for years good leaders own the
mistakes as well as the successes. Our head of emergency management at
cHarity hospital NEw oRleans was that kind of guy.  THen when they did a
survey after Katrina the lady doing the survey commented that everybody
gave him high marks for his leadership during the mess.

gOod move!!!  even a problem subbordinate will fall into line better after
seeing something like that.

I haven't even attempted that quit bit for years now.  FAiled enough times
I gave up on it. NEedless to say ROxy and I got to know all the bell hops
and valets at the VB Sheraton WAterside.  tHey all had to come over and pet
"Miz ROxy" as they called her. IN fact, when we checked out one
of the bellhops was pushing Kathy in her wheelchair, another had a cart
with our luggage.  I went with ROxy to the desk to check us out. ROxy went
a little crazy because they were pushing mommy somewhere lese, and bellhop
stopped, petted her and said "DOn't worry miz ROxy, we'll take care of
mommy." Had to laugh.

Noticed that about VA. each.  WE had to be in the meeting room for this
video shoot at 8:30 A.M. that MOnday morning, and due to one thing and
another we were quite late getting into the area. THey closed the
floodgates on the freeway we were taking in, and we got all turned around.
A NOrfolk PD officer got us straightened out, and was friendly about it.  I
was nervous as he was checking out something in an industrial parking lot
and we just rolled in and asked him. MOst cops that aren't familiar with us
are a bit scared when they encounter a big ROtt in the van but he wasn't
bothered at all.

IN fact, ROxy was one of the reasons we were running as late as we were. NO
air conditioning in the van, and I hit every rest area in VIrginia I think
making sure she had water and a relief break.
