SC> JD> Dunno... If true this would imply that GL's had a hand in shaping the
SC> JD> novels... And I've not heard anything of this sort either (beyond
SC> JD> restrictions, that is)... But let me think a minute... The twins
acen
SC> JD> and Jaina were introduced in the first big trilogy of books which
SC> JD> re-started the SW craze...the Thrawn novels by TZ... Wasn't Anakin
SC> JD> introduced after these by another author?
SC> wasn't leia pregnant with anakin in zahn's book, or was that the
SC> twins? anyways, the first book i remember with anakin was the
SC> crystal star.
No, she was pregnant just with the twins... I remember this distinctly
now because later someone added Anakin and I was saying to myself "Gee,
wasn't two enough?!"... But I think it's rather far-fetched a notion to
say that Lucas had anything to do with it...
SC> i think that if sequels were ever made, lucas would pay attention
o
SC> the novels... he just seems to be the type to pay attention to
hose
SC> kind of details and continuity. i think with trek, the problem is
SC> that there are so many of them... it would be impossible to be
SC> faithful to them all. the star wars novels haven't reached that
SC> point yet... hopefully they never will! i don't think it would be
SC> so daunting a task to do with star wars. there aren't many MAJOR
SC> continuity flaws that i can think of... lucasarts attention no
SC>doubt.
All I can say is: I Hope you're right...
