subject: Sort problem

Hello Jack!
Monday September 18 1995, Jack Stein writes to Ron Mcleod:
 JS> Ok, I created a 10,000+ line file from the nodediff, loaded it into

Here I tried it with (TSE status-line):
L 17821   C 15    IA     1444k   *d:\temp\nodelist.258
(NODELIST = Z2-LIST)
And TSE pro v2.5 had no problem with it, but as I tried to do it with
the following macro:
proc main()
    MarkColumn()
    EndFile()
    GotoColumn(15)
    MarkColumn()
    Sort()
    SaveAndQuitfile()
end
it bumped here too....
 JS> I sorted the whole line with SORT03 for DOS in 7+ seconds, 6+ seconds
 JS> with SORT1.9 for OS/2. Then I loaded the file into BOXER for OS/2,
 JS> marked and sorted, and it worked, fast too.
When I did it manually TSE did it in approximately 15s....
Henk
