Hi Robin,
RP> Thanks to everyone who responded about the birthday lists. As you
RP> can see, I took you at your word(s) and posted a list for this month.
I talked to Shannon a few nights ago and updated her on things. She may
get in touch with the same guy that got me back onto Fido & get things
going. Right now is her busy time of the year, tax time. She's only
working part time but still, with a husband, 4 year old and 8 month old,
it's busy for her.
RP> My husband had an unusual amount of time off this last week, and
RP> we have been enjoying it by spending as much time together as possible
RP> - hence my absence here.
Well understood. Steve comes home (YEAH, FINALLY!) on the 25th of this
month. He's taking leave the rest of the week because it's also spring
break for the girls. So, if I'm out of the picture for a few days, I
know you will know why.
RP> My son's high school symphonic band is having a craft sale soon,
RP> and I have been stitching up a storm of items to include. Plus, we've
RP> had a handful of recent vocal and instrumental concerts to attend.
RP> Jesse's first vocal
RP> performance (with the rest of her kindergarten class) will be this
RP> Tuesday evening. We also attended and participated in a fun fair at
RP> her school.
Sounds like you and the family have been busy. Does Jesse still like
cross stitch? I saw in (I think it was Herrschnerr's) one of my
cataloges a beginners kit of a kitten amd thought of her.
RP> For those of you who remember such things, my aunt who had cancer,
RP> the one to whom everyone sent Christmas ornaments one year, recently
RP> received that Christmas. She says she can bear the broken hip because
RP> it proves she's still alive. :) BTW, she still uses most of the
Great attitude! I don't remember if I was on here at that time but I'm
glad to hear she's got that spirit.
I've got 2 of the bridesmaid's dresses cut out and will begin sewing on
them tomorrow. I want to make a sample size 8 of the bodice and have
the other 2 girls try it before I cut their dresses out. I'm saving
Rachel's for last; since it's the same basic pattern (but longer and
more embellished) I figure by the time I'm done with 4 of that idea,
I'll be pretty good at it. Plus, there are certain things not in the
pattern that I will incorporate on her dress only to make it an
heirloom.
Catch you later,
Ruth
