Just wanted to let you know that after Jessica's doctor visit yesterday
I'm going to get Jessica to a psychologist to see if we can't find some
way around this as soon as possible. I haven't withdrawn because I think
that some where there is hope and I don't want to lose sight of that. My
husband has the difficult time like you do but he's resigned to letting
me do what I can. Jessica is like your son. I have often thought about
babysitters when she is at your son's age. I don't want to give up! She
went back on her meds yesterday, too. She has been stealing money from
the house, not lots, but still stealing and then lying about it. She
buys pop and candy with it at the YMCA camp vending machines. I don't
understand because pop even though limited is available to her and she
gets candy, so I have to look at the impulse and why it exists. That's
why the psychologist, to help her and me too. She knows that we are
going to get her one and she's curious about it. Her doctor said to give
the candy away, which I did and then make her do chores to earn what she
took out of her bank but will not be able to put back in. She cleaned
her room last night from windows to dusting then tonight she cleaned up
the toys in the basement. She has 5 more days of cleaning to earn the 5
dollars she took. It's hard for me  to do this sometimes but I want to
help her and will do what the doctor advises. He has 3 ADD children and
one just graduated from college. He said it took him 30 years to learn
some of this so I will try his methods. Don't give up keep searching! We
can't just erase these kids and we love them because they're ours. I
will let you know if I learn anything helpful if that's okay. Take care.
