Yup. More & more apps are becoming steadily OS independent from Java
apps to web apps to most databases to Open Office, to Firefox/mozilla
etc.etc.etc.
I think that long term the lack of cross platform options will hurt MS
across it's range from Office to SQL server to...etc.etc.
