subject: Re: Microsoft Watch Out - One Deactivation Too Many

From: "Rich Gauszka"

Somehow I get the feeling this was staged. While I don't mind any bad
publicity for wga activation, they could use a less ridiculous scenario to
showcase it - problematic upgrade, didn't activate it ( driver issues? ),
left it sit for a while, and after all that expected it to work once fired
up agan for an important business trip the next day?

-----
Kay got the computer for testing Vista. He could have used a preloaded
system from Microsoft, but "I wanted to do my own upgrade, just to get
the experience," Kay explained. However, he told me: "It was
never smooth. Drivers didn't work. Warnings kept popping up having to do
with the WWAN radio. And it didn't activate when I typed in the key."

Because of all the hassle, Kay said he "left it for awhile ... didn't
use it." When he fired up the system, for an important business trip
the following day, he was "outta luck."
