Heh, first I thought "what a stupid name, what is this, some new MP3
player or what?". No, it's a workgroup system which makes it very easy
to share information between people at different locations, without your
own server. You start by setting up an account (any member in your
"workgroup" needs to have an account). Then you can create a
workspace on your computer, and select what you want in it - we have a
calendar, an issue tracker, a discussion forum and file sharing.
Next, you invite others to the workspace, for example by sending them an
email. They accept, and you get to confirm their access to the workspace.
After that they can open the workspace, and share everything inside it
automagically.
It's sort of P2P system, where everything is sync'd automatically between
all members of the workspace (you can have / belong to multiple
workspaces), plus you can work on it offline and it the syncs when you next
plug in.
So far I like it a lot, even though it's a bit rough around the edges. Some
minor bugs and annoyances, but the server-less setup for me is really cool.
Antti Kurenniemi
(sure could have picked a worse name, although I can't think of any right now...)
