Oh, yeah!  That's the way I look at it. I figured you caused all this. I was
waxing poetic about how wonderful the job with Phyllis was going to be
(loudly, with dancing) and other lawyers who heard me knew about this job
and talked to George (who hired me) who went to school with my boss Stuart,
so George and asked Stuart about me. By that time I'd figured out Phyllis
wasn't going to come to anything and had moaned to Don and Stuart, so Stuart
asked me if I'd be interested in the BC Online project George was involved
in. We chattered about it, though I wasn't thinking in terms of ever being
able to be part of it, then the next thing I knew George phoned me. I
couldn't follow what he was saying, so I put him on hold and went to ask
Stuart what he was talking about, and Stuart told me I should take that call
and he'd watch the phones for me. I then had the very surreal experience of
taking a personal call while my boss did my work for me!!  (Never thought
I'd live to see anything like that!!)

George explained to me that Stuart had told him that my talents and skills
matched what he was looking for, and as he talked about what he needed, I
started to get excited. We met that weekend for an introduction to the team.
At that point they decided I was worth more to them than they'd offered, so
I had the strange experience of being given a raise before I'd ever seen the
first paycheque.

Stuart totally oversold me. I'm afraid no one could ever live up to the
advertising. I would have prefered he'd undersold me a bit so that I could
surprise them, rather than disappointing them when they find out I can't do
the miracles Stuart has claimed I can do. But still, I'll owe Stuart forever
for setting this up for me, and it comes from what Phyllis mapped out for
me, which is because you introduced me to Phyllis, so it all comes back to
Barb, and Bardie good thinkings.

I'll never be able to thank you enough
