Well I hacked into my phone and there really isn't enough there that I
would think it's anything other than a simple clock that gets reset to the
time of the celphone network it's on. I doubt it's using UTC and timezones,
the phone network might but I think the phone is much simpler than that.
From what I've seen they try to save space everywhere they can in the
phone.
