-> A vanilla normal.dot (or a Word 6.0 default normal.dot) is quite easy
-> create.  Find where your normal.dot is currently residing--c:\winword
-> c:\msoffice\winword, etc.  Rename the file (I usually rename it
-> nor-old.dot).  Start up Word and it will automagically create a new
-> normal.dot.  Then rename IT, and rename the old normal.dot back to
-> normal.dot.
