JB>Don't offer me a leader who is no better than what I have. Change for
JB>change sake is an exercise in frustration.
I voted for Clinton because I felt that a change was needed. Clinton had a
proven track record of being a person who could get things done, Bush's record
in that regard was a bit weak.
I'm neither a liberal or a conservative. Politics is the art of compromize
and negotiation. Bush wasn't good at it and I saw absolutely no proof that
Perot even knew what the two words meant.
There has been talk about Clinton's making of promises in order to get NAFTA
passed. So what? That's how the game is played. Those who can't deal with that
reality need to move to some single party totalitarian state or at least try
to keep their ignorance of reality to themselves.
If I was interested in a dictatorship in this country, I would have voted for
Perot. If I had wanted more of the same, I would have voted for Bush. I wanted
change, and so far I think that Clinton has done a fine job.
