Forgive my humor.. but I'd guess the -best- 'emergency kit' for an earthquake
that you can predict.. is the same 'emergency kit' for a hurricane that we'd
expect on the Gulf Coast:
Contents: 1 Motor Vehicle with a full tank of gas capable of transporting all
necessary humans and valuable personal belongings, including food, clothing,
etc to a destination beyond the expected damage range of the disaster
predicted.
Seriously though.. if you plan to 'ride it out'... I'll defer the question to
an 'earthquake' expert... whereas I might consider riding out a hurricane in
an appropriately built solid structural environment...
I've yet to see -anything-, except for open fields, that can withstand the
anger of an earthquake.
Of course.. perhaps there's something in that.... how about a camping trip to
a wide open field... preferably somewhere distant from the fault line.
Okay... I'm gonna shut up now...
Please forgive my brief attempt at levity...
