LORI,
LS> I would like any information available on neuro-muscular degenerative
LS> diseases. A ver dear friend is suffering from such a disease; from
LS> what she
LS> has told me, her own immune system is eating away at the myelin oating
LS> on her
LS> nerves, leading to a burning sensation in the initial stages followed
LS> by weakness and loss of strength in the limbs. Currentl, she is still
LS> able to stand and walk short distances, but must use her wheelchair more
LS> and more
LS> often. The specific disease she has is related to lupus. I'm not sure
LS> of the name/spelling here, but it's called something like 'neuromyalgia'
LS> or 'fibromyalgia'. Please send any info you can!!!
This sounds like neuromyalgia not fibromyalgia, and you might be able to
find out more about it on the MULT-SCLEROSIS echo, since it is very much
like multiple sclerosis. Ann on that echo has it, I think.
Best of luck to her, and take care.
Paul
