Having owned almost every Atari product from the 2600 thru the STe I can tell
ya your 100% correct. The 8bit is in a class by its self. I too bought the
Atari ST thinking it was the next link and I found out twas not to be. I also
owned and still do an Amiga. The Amiga was the next link if you could
honestly say the 8bit Atari had one. However I agree with you though I think
the 8bit was the beginning and the end of its own chain.
