Jeff,

It's true in a sense, but it isn't accurate because it missed the actual
point.  The state needs to restrain the majority and protect minorities;
otherwise democracy degenerates to being the tyranny of the majority.  It
isn't always fair to treat a majority viewpoint and a minority viewpoint
exactly the same; sometimes you are fair by treating them differently, the
way racehorses wear handicap weights.
