It's evening. But otherwise everything seems okay. Yes, I did get the 
message, but couldn't think of anything much to say in response to it. 
  
Incidentally, the Northern Lights are not always pretty. Often, they 
look more like urban light pollution, just a general brightening of the 
sky, with the same effect on the visibilities of stars, etc..
