I tried to reply to your e-mail, but it bounced.  I hope you don't
mind my replying publicly.

AFAIK, there was only one whaler by the name "The Diamond."  I got the
date of her destruction from liner notes to a CD I had handy.  (Songs
from the Grieg-Duncan Collection).  Next time I'm at the library, I'll
look this up and see if I can confirm either date.
