Subject: 160/167 Shots/Fill
F>I have a 1960 Crosman test report that shows the difference in the number
f
F>shots achieved with 167 vs 160. The test indicates that the 167 got more
than
F>3 times as many shots as the 160 got. I would like an independant
verification
F>of this. Would do it myself, but I don't have a 167 to work with at the
F>moment.
dtf, This is not as easy to determine as it seems. I have some 160's
that will get almost twice as many shots, at the same power level
~600fps, as other 160's. The 167's also shoot ~600fps and also vary
widely in number of shots per fill.
Interestingly, While most 180/187's shoot at about 450fps, most get
about the same number of shots per fill, one cylinder, as the 160/167's
get with two CO2 cylinders.
BTW, Most of the stock hammer springs were too long and wasted lots of
gass.
I guess this isn't much help, but it's the best I can do for now.
