I just tried it here with the Christmas-day 2006 build of EleBBS, and that
script seems to work fine.

There was an issue with a release version of EleBBS (possibly 0.09g1)
not sending the messages to the other nodes with this script (or without),
which was due to an internode messaging bug in that version of EleBBS.
