Yes. There are always special cases.

The compression is irrelevant nowadays when tranferring over the internet.
But if a point (or node) polls mail only once or twice a day, it might be
nice to transfer only one file instead of one hundred or so. At lest the
log files look better. ;)

Ok, it is possible to combine many .pkts to one. In that case arcmail sure
is not needed. :)
