Nolan, Maximus can insert a different origin line for each echo in
MSGAREA.CTL. Here's the section I have for MUFFIN:
MsgArea MUFF
  ACS Normal/EV
  Desc Maximus BBS Support (Sysops)
  Path D:\Fido\Muffin
  Origin    . . UltraTech - Nashville, TN * PRIVATE * {V.34/V.FC}
  Tag MUFFIN
  Style Squish Echo Pub
End MsgArea
Note that this is in Max v3.01 format. Each echo area has its own Origin
line but they're not all the same.

Hmmm... MSGAREA.CTL:
MsgArea SYSO
  ACS Transient
  Desc Comments to SysOp (Private)
  Path D:\Fido\0Syso
Style Squish Local Pvt RealName Hidden HighBit
  Renum Max 100
End MsgArea
And in MAX.CTL:
% The following keyword specifies the area number in which
% log-off comments should be placed. (This area number also
% applies to the Leave_Comment menu function and the
  % [leave_comment] MECCA token.)
  Comment Area SYSO
I don't know what else one would need to do. Only other thing I can think of
is that SYSO is the *first* area listed in MsgArea.Ctl (if that makes any
difference).
Cheers,
