VN :> You are kidding about the wet towel, right? I could
VN :>mail you an evaporative cooler or a mist system if your
VN :>humidity were as low as ours is.
Yes, I was kidding! But it gives you some indication of just how nutsy he is
over this horse.
VN :> Can't believe it - this whole three-day weekend will
VN :>be in the Eighties!!! With almost no humidity.
Sounds good to me! We've had high 60's low 70's, low humidity...and SUN!
I'll take this any day!
VN :> We got a puppy as Heidi's rear end is getting worse -
VN :>can't see that she will be around another winter, as she
VN :>can hardly get up sometimes. It's tough on all of us, as
VN :>we love her dearly, but she is almost 16 and that's unheard
VN :>of for a Rhodesian Ridgeback. We wanted to get the puppy
VN :>while Heidi is still alive so maybe it'll pick up some of
VN :>her good points. It'll be OUR luck that the puppy (a Pit
VN :>mixed-breed who looks like a lab and is the most
VN :>affectionate 9 week old puppy I have EVER SEEN) will learn
VN :>from our bubble-brained Airedale.
Sorry to hear about Heidi. Having gone through all this last year, I don't
envy you. Your puppy sounds cute! I'd forgotten just how much work they
were (g). Don't think there's much in the house they haven't found to chew.
But they are so darned cute, who cares!
VN :>Appies get a bum rap. but they are all individuals...just
VN :>like other breeds. You may just have your driving horse
VN :>already. Spot took about an hour to train, Shiloh will
VN :>probably be a lot easier!
She's so quiet, I don't think driving would be aproblem at all. I tried
cantering her yesterday...definitely needs work!! She doesn't know her
leads, and we even had a little buck. I had to laugh...bucking for this
horse is so far removed from her personality, that it was funny. Even the
buck was quiet and nonaggressive!
