I realized that at the time. My point deeper point here is that a lot of
things that happen that get labelled as a conspiracy (either seriously or
derisively) really are indications of some real problem, just not one
caused by a conspiracy.

So, for instance, teachers unions really are causing an enormous amount of
damage to the quality of education. So are left-wing intellectuals who
teach in universities and who come to dominate academic departments and
then only allow the hiring of kindred spirits.
