An `uncle' John Hull was a BB Squad member outside Manchester and 
we visited some 3 or 4 time - both the cable and the balloon were 
really alive... unforgettable.   After the war,  I was shown the 
same winches being used to launch Slingsby gliders off the 
Chiltern Hills...
