Huh? 28k8 or 33k6 gets you 3100-3500 cps. You don't consider a more than
*100%* speed increase as "much"?
Keep in mind that the single jump from 14k4 to 28k8 is a bigger speed-jump
than upgrading all the modems you've ever bought in your life:
300->1200->2400->9600
*COMBINED*!
But yet people upgraded/replaced those. Why would you do those and then
*NOT* buy the biggest speed increase of all time???? (And go around telling
everyone else that it's "NOT a heck of a lot faster".)
I paid $350 for my old 300bps modem.
I paid $550 for my old 14k4 modem.
Isn't 28k8 worth the current price?
(They sell for as little as $99 these days.)
Lowest cost in history. Fastest speed increase.
(Please check the facts.)
