This is a pretty standard virus vector, really. ALWAYS check unsolicited attached files, no matter who they come from or purport to come from. No, MS doesn't send files. Most of their programs (like my new Windows 2000) have patches or plug-ins or whatever which will automatically go out and check for the latest patches and download and install them for you. Like the other night, I was up all night updating my IE and putting Service Pack 3 on my Win 2000. Argh.
