I notice you're one of the few using Msged/LNX-current. Could you do me a
favor and try to set "Switch RightNextUnreadArea On" in your
config file, and when you start msged, go to the last message in an area
and press the right arrow, please?

It's supposed to go to the next area with unread messages, but on my system
it coredumps. Just wanted to see if it was a bug or related to my system
specifically.
