This morning all author's bylines etc have been removed from all the
stories exposed on the front page.

My best guess is that they simply don't know how to use the publishing
system and are trying to learn it as they go.  At first I thought they were
doing it on purpose, but the way they are stumbling along, I don't think
that's the case now.
