Auckland's classic came from the DJ of the day, Phil Shone, who 
used 1 April to warn of a huge bee swarm, 1.5 miles long, 
descending on the city - and had people sealing their homes with 
sticky paper, laying in water and food for a siege and similar 
side effects.  The bureaucrats suspended him for a year for the 
deed...
