Why don't you call it RIME when you are talking about RIME networking? ;)
I wouldn't call ftn networks squish or jam networking and QWK networking is
same confusing.

Then the same limitations apply and it still was a point to point protokoll
where one BBS became "user" and fetched mail from another BBS via QWK?

I don't think so. Golded is no tosser, it can access the message base which is
for QWK the QWK file set and generate a QWK standard answer packet.
Maybe move/copy mails from the QWK files into sqd or jam echoarea is possible.

Nobody wrote about random names. The thing is called random system and i hope
you don't think the creator was that stupid to create random names.
"No" means no to your "no way". To be clear i said there is a way.
Looks like my english is more worse than i thought. ;)

That is exactly what you can.
The random system chooses between two given origin definitions randomly. What
would happen if the is one origin definition only? What would happen if there
is one username definition only?
ml> that would allow for what is being asked for... in areas xyz, i want

group xyz
username "this name"

ml> but in areas pdq i want to use another name...
group pdq
username "another name"
endgroup
would do your wish. xyz and pdq must be exact echotags and be before other
wildcarded echotags. In the random system the first hit counts.

I never thought someone could believe that random names could be a reasonable
feature. :)
Even the AKA keyword in the random system isn't choosen randomly. Multiple AKAs
gives the option for a menu to select one AKA from. I never tried with
usernames but i think it's the same.
good bye
