RUSSIA, IRAN, SYRIA--PRESSING IN

The once-closely held alliance between Russia, Iran and Syria is
becoming more and more public as the these countries march toward
their prophetic destiny, taking the entire world slowly, but surely
along with them. Months ago, Syria denied it was involved in
assassinating former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. And now 
an ongoing United Nation investigation is turning up proof of Syrian
involvement. The United States, France and Britain are calling for 
the U.N. Security Council to implement sanctions against Syria. But 
two permanent members of the Security Council are dead set against
sanctioning Syria - China and Russia.

It is no coincidence that these nations are linked together as
military and economic partners. It is, however, a relatively new
development that they are becoming so bold in public with their
alliances. We know that Russia, Iran and Syria play a crucial role in
fulfillment of latter day prophecies as indicated in Isaiah 17:1 where
the Lord says, "Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and
it shall be a ruinous heap," as well as the Ezekiel 38 and 39
prophecies where Persia and Gog come against Israel in a battle where
the weapons will burn for seven years. These are the days where events
are like the birth pains described in Revelation 12:2, "And she being
with child cried, travailing birth, and pained to be delivered." These
are the days to draw closer to your Savior and share Him with others.
