Oh. I didn't note that, thanks and sorry. I never heard of QWK networks, QWK is
a point to point protocol between a BBS and an offline user. It takes a
snapshot of new unread messages from the BBS msgbase and pack it into the QWK
file. Due to the limitations i don't think that the QWK format is suitable for
message base requirements. But maybe the QWK thing you are talking about is
totally different.

No. There is a way. The random system is just the default auto-fill but can be
edited by cursor up too. Some keywords can be used many times, like origin and
aka, there is a change function and you can select from a list to use one.
I never tried, but i think USERNAME can be defined many times too.

Yupp, that's common procedure. The random system of golded just adds some kind
of lazyness. ;) Together with templates you could have random mail introduction
lines or footers too.
