| subject: | Some Military Gets Gay Directive |
From: "Gregg Strom/BRYX Int'l" A Navy review board has found that it is unfair to ask a student who discovered he was Gay after being enrolled in an education program to pay back $67000.00 in received benefits. They noted that drug users and those discharged for violence and other reasons were NOT asked to pay back identical benefits. It seems that SOME of the military is actually trying to follow the orders and intent of the Commander In Chief, instead of picking and choosing orders to personal taste. (In contrast with the entirely separate issue of obeying immoral orders.) Interestingly, this decision is a paraphrase of a question asked by Judge Sutter in the recent appeal regarding the Boy Scout refusal to allow Gays to participate. He asked why the BSA asked people if they were Gay, but failed to ask comparable questions that would be MORE indicative of "morally straight" such as if the person in question was an AX MURDER or an EX-CON.... gs --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
