BW> We'll get the rockets and start putting them to
BW> gather. If we put a
BW> man on the moon, what do ya think our two troops will
BW> come up with? ;->
It is always fun to launch the rockets. The Scouts (and leaders) have a
great time running them down when the wind catches them.
BW> Well, I guess if there is a mini bear patch this year
BW> or any other new
BW> patch in Trading Post, if ya see any "Philmont" hiking
BW> stick pins. Well, we will talk before you leave.
We leave Friday morning early, so I'll need to hear from you before you head
out to summer camp.
BW> I take the troop to summer camp tomarrow
BW> and I will go back out on Thursday and stay till
BW> Saterday.
At least you get to spend a couple nights. Plan for hot weather, as I hear
that it is supposed to be around 100 by the end of the week.
BW> Ben's Eagle
BW> COR was short and wasn't too organized. Very poor
BW> turnout. 15 people
BW> at the most. Sortof bummed Ben out.
Our troop put together an outline and example for a Eagle COH several years
ago that gets updated and modified each time a Scout earns his Eagle. It is
not long, maybe 20 minutes or so for the formal part, but is usually followed
by an informal reception in the Fellowship hall in the church (we have the
more formal part in the santuary). We don't always have a lot of folks, but
they are nice.
MB> I think we will be looking at the end of August or the
MB> first part of September. I'll let you know, as soon
MB> as I know.
BW> We three are starting to get excited. If yall want to
BW> do it as a
BW> campout, September will be fine. Augest will be cool
BW> if yall want to do
BW> a day trip. Me, Mark, and Malcolm would probally need
BW> at least a meeting or two to do the basics.
We'll know about the first part of August, which will give us plenty of time.
Later.
